We do our best to accommodate all requests, and where possible will always work with you to meet tight deadlines. However this isn't always possible and is dependent on the complexity of the request and the availability of our team. Can I select the song to be used in the film?

Every film comes with a thoughtfully curated soundtrack. Due to music licensing, we're not able to use specific commercial songs, but our collection is designed to suit a wide range of tones and moments.

How long does the process typically take?

Accepted Answer

Essential typically delivers within 72 hours, and Premium within 48 hours. Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary depending on project complexity and current workload.

What file formats do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept common photo formats including JPG, PNG, TIFF, and scanned images. If you have an unusual format, contact us and we'll do our best to accommodate it.

How many photos can I use?

Accepted Answer

Our Essential package supports up to 20 photos, and Premium supports up to 30 — plenty to tell a full, meaningful story.

Can I choose the order the photos appear in?

Accepted Answer

We automatically arrange your photos in a natural, age-appropriate sequence, but you're always welcome to set your own order if you'd prefer.

Do I need to crop my photos before uploading?

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily — if you scan a photo on a flatbed scanner and it comes through with a white border or empty space around it, our system automatically detects and crops this out before restoring it. That said, for the most reliable and predictable result, we recommend cropping the photo yourself to just the image content before uploading, if you're able to.

What makes a good photo to upload?

Our restoration and animation technology works best with: a clear, unobstructed view of the main subject's face; photos where someone is looking toward the camera, even at a slight angle, tend to produce the most natural results; one primary photo per file — please upload each photo separately, even if you have several small prints, and avoid scanning multiple photos together in a single image file; and the best physical copy you have access to, even if it shows its age. A well-exposed, only mildly faded original will typically restore better than a very dark, badly water-damaged, or extremely low-resolution copy.

What kinds of photos tend to produce less predictable results?

We're honest about a few situations where our technology has real limits: photos where someone's face is turned away, in profile, or partially out of frame — we take real care not to invent facial details we can't actually see, but this can mean the motion for that person is more limited or reserved than for someone facing the camera clearly; group photos where a background figure isn't clearly visible — the same care applies, and we won't invent an expression or turned face for someone we can't clearly see, even if they're part of a wonderful group moment; very heavily damaged originals such as large tears, severe fading, or heavy water damage — we restore faithfully rather than guess at missing detail, so very significant damage may still show through in the final result; and extremely low-resolution or heavily cropped digital photos, e.g. a screenshot of a screenshot, may not restore as cleanly as a photo scanned or photographed directly from the original print.

What if I'm not sure whether a photo will work well?

If you're ever unsure, feel free to upload it anyway — our team reviews every photo personally before your film is finalized, and we're always happy to help if something doesn't come out the way you hoped. Can I request revisions if I'm not satisfied?

Revisions are available on every package — just let us know within 7 days if something's not right, and we'll take a look.

Question 13

How many revisions can I request at once?

Accepted Answer

You can have up to 3 open revision requests per order at any one time, and you can select up to 3 photos when you submit a request. Once we've completed those, you're welcome to send more within your 7-day window. If you need something beyond what the revision system covers, email support@motionmemoirs.com and we'll help personally.

Is my personal content kept private and secure?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we take your privacy seriously. Your uploaded photos and finished film are stored securely, and your finished film remains available to download for up to a year after delivery. We never share your content with third parties.

What if my photo is damaged or very low quality?

Accepted Answer

Don't worry! Part of our service includes photo restoration. Our experts can work with damaged, faded, or low-resolution images. We'll enhance and restore them as part of the colorization and animation process.

Are you able to accommodate different languages in your films?

Whilst our native tongue is English, we will of course look to support all languages. Depending on your selection, we may need to work closely with you for the exact wording and cultural nuances to ensure the final product is to your satisfaction.

What format will I receive my film in?

Accepted Answer

Your film is delivered ready for sharing on phones and social media. A widescreen version suitable for TVs and larger screens is also available if you need it.
